Trying to reduce time spent in developing is usually one of the main objectives of any Company using Scada/HMI systems.  Movicon X has been designed to provide the user with all the tools needed to save time in developing and to safeguard their work.

• Auto-Project configurator: Movicon X has provided a Wizard, an interactive help utility, to automatically define settings and create structures.

• Projects based on XML. Every element, object or resource of the project can be copied or dragged into other editors (Excel, editors XML and  others) to see all the textual properties, edit them and re-paste them in the Movicon project. The projects can be edited externally as with  any other XML file. Projects can also be setup and dynamically distributed in  project structures  (Parent and child project relationships).

• Object Programming: Just one class of vectorial graphic objects (with SVG technology) is all you will ever need for your screens, included with dynamic properties for the various platforms on which the project is to be run. Powerful,  “captivating” object graphics, complete with lots of properties, functions and graphical animations. 

• Symbol and Object libraries. Movicon X has an enormous library of ready-to-use symbols and Templates which can be cusomized or added to. The Power Template technology allows the effective re-use of symbols, permitting functions such as the “heredity” or auto-creation of the symbiol's associated Tags, Alarms and Data Loggers within the project.  

• Automatic Tag importing. No need to reset variables in both the supervisor or PLC as this is now done by the importer function.  Importing and connecting to the PLC is automatic for  Simatic S7®, Rockwell®, Mitsubishi®, just to mention a few.

Movicon X is totally designed to satisfy all designer engineer needs  by providing a one only software for  both  HMI projects on WinCE or PocketPC terminals, as well as for complex Scada systems and for distributed architecture and web-based remote and telecontrol systems.

The new drivers include functions such as the automatic Tag  importing, remote connectivity via modem, the multi-station concept for point-to-point protocols, the bridging concept for remote service on PLC, immediate cable testing. The drivers guarantee complete configurability and the possibility of communicating on event in  custom mode by using VBA logics as well. In addition to the free driver library included, Movicon X also provides complete connectivity via OPC, in preview of  new OPC XML DA technology, as well as maintaining and consolidating the OPC DA Server and Client communications.

  Movicon X has completely renewed its integrated networking management.  The sophisticated technology adopted, without compromises, increases efficiency and performances due to the use of emerging and multiplatform technologies such as SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and SOA (Service Oriented Application). In addition to TCP, tt also supports protocols such as  UDP and HTTP. The networking automatically supports remote connections via RAS. Movicon X also included  the Web Services technology so that information distribution  can finally support public networks (Internet)  guaranteeing safety with the adopted  “firewall-friendly” technology.

• Web-enabled Architecture.
  Movicon X has renewed the Web Client technology by incorporating the  JAVA technology that integrates perfectly with XML, SVG, Web Services. This new architecture allows server access by means of using internet browsers on any platform (Windows, Linux, Palm and Javaphones mobile phones enabled with J2ME).  Multiusers, bidirectionality, performance and security are all guaranteed.
